It looks as though we really might publish something in 2014 as our 2015 calendar is at the printer!! We are grateful to Dona Leicht, who wrote the intro and to Marty Zinn Expositions, Fine Mineral Shows (Dave Waisman), Denver Gem and Mineral Society, Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, and the Mineralogical Society of American, who underwrote the project. We also extend our thanks to editors Iva Veselinova-Dyakovska, Aleksandra Stanisic Puhalo, and Mike Jensen and to Michael Bainbridge who handled image processing. And most of all we want to thank photographers Frédéric Hède, Robert O. Meyer, Enrico Bonacina, Petr Fuchs, Kenneth G. Libbrecht, Jean-Marc Johannet, Stephan Wolfsried, Matteo Chinellato, Honorio Cócera-La Parra, Philippe Font, whose work will adorn your walls next year. We looked through more than 15,000 images to find the 16 that we would ultimately use. Photographing microminerals is certainly a specialty, one with which we were largely unfamiliar. The process was thus both challenging and frustrating and we are grateful for their patience and support. Calendars will be available late next week. Every Mineral Monograph subscriber will get a complimentary copy with their Diamond issue (coming later this year!!). Calendars can be purchased for $10 on our website: lithographie.org/bookshop/small_wonder.htm. Please contact us for wholesale and club pricing. Calendars are great fundraisers!
