It looks like Derek Kidwell may be coming home. The former Fostoria star quarterback is on the Fostoria Community Schools school board agenda for Monday as it will vote on whether or not to hire Kidwell as the head football coach at the 6 p.m. meeting in the high school library. Kidwell, who got a strugging Hopewell-Loudon program on its feet before taking the head coaching job at Fremont Ross, quarterbacked Fostoria to a 14-0 record and Division II state championship in 1991. He was also selected as the Associated Press’ Mr. Football award winner that season. Derek played for his father Dick Kidwell, who coached the Redmen to state titles in 1991 and 1996 and runner-up finishes in 1989 and 1992.
