It made me wonder last night after watching the movie Prisoners about how sensitive human emotions are. How erroneous is our take on human psyche. We the so called civilized patrons of holy conscience have evolved too well to ignore the evil side of ourselves. Is friendship, love, marriage and faith a rather gory attempt to mystically hide our negative affinities of the soul? Are we tricking ourselves to be good? Our insecurities persuade us to adopt an identity which sometimes resort a galore of malicious instincts to protect ourselves. If external elements dare interfere in the comfort of personal beliefs or tease the frightened being, it unleashes the unexpected horrid shade of the self. Like a carnivore at its vengeful hunt. Made me think, and shall make you think too. What holds us back from being like a lethal reptile may be because of the euphoric ability to make choices; which remains as the only righteous offer given to us from the nature when we were born. How we use it dictates the ebb of life. However deep it made me think, it made no difference. There wasn’t any calming voice or a leading light. Only more of a sinking thought. And nothing at all. Rights and wrongs are just a matter of perspectives. Watch the movie if you haven’t.
