It makes me absolutely SICK to write my representatives with my concerns about Common Core and receive identical form letters in response.. all stating they fully support Governor Deal and believe Common Core is good for our children. Really?! Take a gander at how many of these kids are falling behind, having panic attacks and nervous breakdowns and getting ulcers and feeling like they arent smart enough all because they cannot comprehend this STUPID curriculum. Adding 2+2 should NOT take 15 steps to get the answer of 4! This is verbatim of one paragraph in every single response I got from a total of 5 representatives I emailed: I fully support the efforts of Gov. Deal and the state of Georgia to raise our academic content standards and to update accountability systems, and I believe that Common Core is certainly a component that can be a part of the plan.
