It makes me sad beyond words to know Robin Williams is one example of how much sadness and pain people hide behind laughter and smiles when they suffer from depression. I wish the world could have made him as happy as he made it, but like others have posted, I hope his life and legacy can provide an avenue for people to finally start openly discussing and dealing with depression as an illness, a disease, and not something to be ashamed of.
