It may sound hokey, but I couldnt agree more. I really do believe that most mental (and physical disorders for that matter) result from energetic discord. My personal experience has taught me that the forces of nature seek to interact with many of us. We live in a vibrational universe and our minds and bodies are like radio receivers that must be aligned or tuned to the most static free station in order to achieve optimal mental and physical health. A neuro-typical person only has access to receive and translate (through sight, hearing, etc.) about 2% of all the vibrational frequency that is being transmitted. Some of us have access to much more. Its not a disorder, its evolution and theres absolutely no controlling or stopping it. As part of this vibrational universe, the Earth itself creates dangerous and chaotic weather patterns as a result of a misalignment in ITS energy. Existence, the unified field, etc. seeks to transmit energy and information through many of us and the Earth is very much a part of that collective consciousness that seeks to connect with and express herself through us. An Earth that is disconnected from the inhabitants it seeks to connect and communicate through is an Earth that brings forth destructive and disastrous natural disasters and weather patterns. It is to ALL of existences benefit to reconcile the modern medical and scientific technology with what the ancients have known for thousands of years as the disconnection between these two is only resulting in new medical and mental disorders and epidemics coming forth every year, as well as the Earth quakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, global warming, and social disharmony, etc. In this case study, the Shamans medicine is just as valid and even MORE effective than that of any John Hopkins psychiatric M.D.
