It may surprise you but NFL players commit domestic violence at half the rate of the population as a whole (55% to be exact). It is hard to argue that the NFL needs to be destroyed for doing better than society. Trying to make this a crisis is the reason that extremists have decided to destroy Adrian Petersons life and career for daring to spank his children. Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson are not receiving justice. They are being made scapegoats for the political agenda of groups that make a living off of the national prevalence of these crimes. How do Roger Goodell and the NFL wind up being the bad guys for not punishing their players more severly than our court system does? Ray Rice got pre trial intervention (i.e. counseling) from the courts. Under public pressure the NFL has suspended Rice indefinitely, leaving him unable to continue his profession. Yet the clamor for someone else to have his life destroyed continues unabated. This is not justice. This is a lynch mob.
