It might seem like an odd change for hardcore fans of Ojibwe recording artist Crystal Shawanda, but the 2013 JUNO Award winners new blues album is outstanding. Along with Shawandas cover of iconic American blues singer Buddy Guy’s “What You Gonna Do About Me,” the album includes a ballad entitled Pray Sister Pray, which features a prayer for missing and murdered Indigenous women recited in Ojibwe by the singers mother.
