It must be a good year for corn on the cob. Last year I was paying from .25-.50 and ear and yes that was at the farmers markets too, well I paid .10 an ear at Meijer yesterday :) Here is one thing I like to do with left over roasted corn on the cob. I cut corn off the cob ( of course right? ) cut up an onion, put in some mushrooms and taters if I have em. I melt butter in a pan mixed with coconut oil, sautee the onions just a bit then I add the corn oh and one thing I do with taters if they arent left overs is I will put them in the micro for 5 mins then I cut them up an put them in the pan. I cook until the corn starts to caramelize. My mom makes this and I think she adds green and red peppers I wasnt going to buy anything special to make this. So the corn cost me about .50 cuz I used 5 ears and well the onion maybe was .15 cuz I had a big bag of em at a cheap price and the taties well Im thinking maybe .50 as well. So whats my cost? $1.15 Im not breaking down the pat of butter and coconut oil :D
