It must be that we are experientially learning beings and not academically learning ones. Quite a defeat for those who think of humankind as superior creatures. When we experience things we are reaching a level below logical thinking and become more full, vital, enriched. I see that in the way babies learn. Nothing replaces experience. Learning by experience is what makes us social. We are culturally trained though to think of experiential learning as gap filling for the academic learning. I think it is the other way around. From concrete to abstract. Logical, academic language, as in the language of education is merely DESCRIBING experience . Unfortunately in our culture this description of experience becomes a substitute of experience. Thats why I refrain from the classical lets talk about it thing - I prefer and I need experience!
