It never ceases to amaze me every time I ask a question I dont want to know the answer to. Operation Cyclone was the code name for the United States CIA program to arm and finance the Afghan mujahideen prior to, and during the Soviet war in Afghanistan, 1979 to 1989. The Hezb-i-Islami was one of the groups of mujahideen, whose training and weaponry were mainly supplied by the CIA. American officials estimated that, from 1985 to 1992, 12,500 foreigners were trained in bomb-making, sabotage, and urban guerrilla warfare in Afghan camps the CIA helped to set up.(These tactics are then used later against my brothers in Iraq and Afghanistan 2001-present). Osama bin Laden, the most notorious terrorist, went through these camps and was trained by Zbigniew Brzezinski, the National Security Advisor to president Jimmy Carter. (He is pictured on the left NEXT to Osama bin Laden). Brzezinski told the mujahideen on video, We know of their deep belief in God, and we are confident their struggle will succeed. That land over there is yours, you’ll go back to it one day because your fight will prevail, and you’ll have your homes and your mosques back again. Because your cause is right and God is on your side. And they still dont have their land back. President Obama knew his risks in arming the rebels because military officials had advised him other wise. Oh! And guess what?! Zbigniew Brzezinski is regarded as one of Obamas main advisors on foreign politics. News within the past few days show Obama stating that he underestimated what was going on in Syria. He knew exactly what was going on and knew exactly the risks of his strategy. Syria is the 7th country Obama has bombed, next to Libya, Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the 2nd country bombed without congressional approval. If you know anything about war, bombing another country is in fact an act of war and acts of war require congressional approval. This is exactly why the constitution was written, to separate the balance of powers between branches so that a dictator can not dictate the law of the land. I wont even bash Obama, because the issue isnt with him, hes just the fall guy.
