It never ceases to amaze me how when we open up and share our vulnerability it connects us not only to others but to a deeper part of ourselves. My post a few days back felt really vulnerable, I even considered taking it down for a moment but Im glad I didnt. Im glad I stood in my vulnerability because what I received from it was so touching. To hear that others resonated with it, that it gave them the permission to feel vulnerable too, to know that we are never alone in our experience - even if the story is different, the feelings are often the same. I have learned that when we can have the courage to embody our truth, to share our vulnerability with others, that often the very experience that pained me, that I suffered from which I chose to share, releases and shifts. It is being alone with our inner world, pushing it down with shame as if to say you are not ok unless you are happy, that causes us the most suffering. Yes it is scary to share, and yes sometimes people may respond unkindly, but more often than not when we do share our inner world we will be met with compassion - with others who are experiencing the very same thing. And all of a sudden that discomfort of feeling raw and exposed is softened and warmed by the feeling of connectivity that happens when we open our hearts - unguarded and unashamed. This human experience is massive journey both outside and within. It never is dull for even in the boredom of life, there is richness to be found beneath the surface. I continue to discover that when I open up I actually go deeper within to a wisdom that allows me to connect more to life, to others and to the possibility of expansion that lies before me.
