It never ceases to anger and sadden me when I hear just how much continental Africans hate their own culture. So Im on the train just now and strike up a casual conversation with a beautiful young lady from Dakar. I told her that one day soon Id love to visit Senegal and Nigeria. Upon hearing that she found it necessary to warn me abhor that voodoo stuff they do in Nigeria. Apparently someone she knows had to have open heart surgery because someone did some voodoo on them attempting to kill them. Then she told me of how they burry people under the bed in their houses. Needless to say I gave her major side eye and decided to give an abrupt end to the conversation. If it werent for my headphones I think I would have given her exactly what was on my mind.
