It occurred to me today how wonderful it is to live in a neighborhood filled with music. To be able to walk to the grocery store or Wallgreens and hear musicians on the street corners playing mostly happy tunes. Some are young and hoping to take that step from the street corner to a club stage while others choose to stay and make the corner their stage. I sometimes take life in the Quarter for granted... but only for a moment because it is not lost on me how lucky I truly am.
