It often takes getting out of your usual environment to be able to truly reflect on where you are at and how far you have come... Im currently down on the coast taking some time out before I launch a major project I have been working on for the past year. Over the past 12 months I have experienced everything from major loss of family members to the highs of new friendships, exciting opportunities and huge learnings. This project, if anything however has taught me the concept of commitment. As new challenges arose and great excuses presented themselves, I often just thought it would be a lot easier to just quit. But as they say, its always darkest before the dawn, and what you are looking for is just that little bit further. And in my case the completion of the site was closer then I thought. I find, its always when you feel like you arent getting anywhere that you suddenly wake up and see just how far you have come. Whilst I can think of a million reasons why the project isnt perfect, one of my mentors recently drilled it into me that done is better than perfect and to just get it going. So I am taking his advice and launching this month (16th nov)! Who knows what will come of it but as Helen Keller says it best Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all... so heres to giving it a go! The feeling of completing something you are truly passionate about is a great feeling and I just encourage anyone else that is thinking of doing something different to just give it a go. Life is to short to not do what you love! Thank you to all of you who have supported me on this journey (especially my amazing partner James Lowthian). I would never have been able to do it without you (you know who you are). Now bring on the Swopsie launch party!! Cant wait to celebrate with you all xx
