It pays to check the B-side! CALLING ALL RECORD COLLECTORS! HELP!!!!! I got TWO copies of this record. Both look the same. Both have the same catalog number C-428. Both copies have the same matrix number on the dead wax. But one has the 45 version of 96 TEARS b/w the album version of MIDNIGHT HOUR (with the Mysterians prominent keyboard sound). The other (version 2) has the longer album version of 96 TEARS with the longer fade out that was chopped to make it more radio friendly (that less-than-3:00 rule). The B-side is missing the keyboards. This version has the more prominent guitars, (like version 2), and it also has a toned down keyboard. Is my mind playing tricks? Or is this yet a third version that was just discovered? Anyone with the answer?
