It really happened to me 12 years ago. Please read about my journey if you got time this weekend. Its good to be generous. I caught up with my colleagues in Bellview conakry Guinea one afternoon 12 years ago. The usual blasting ensued from them. They blamed me for not attending meetings regularly and not taking the organization seriously. But it was not really the case. I live very far away at aeroport (airport). It was really hard with transportation to travel all the way to Bambaito for regular meetings. I had some money that day. After their venting on me I told them ok men sorry! unu mek we go Bak cookery Foss bah. We ate cookery and drank some soft drinks and De plaba don. During the refreshment one member pinched me - man you got to be at Matam at 900am tomorrow cause we are going to see the protection officer for our cases. I said really. Deal don! The next day I was there 7.30am. At 11.00am the protection officer at UNHR sent a message to us to send our names in a list. The list was done by the chairman of the group. He prepared it In a scale of preference from chairman down to the ordinary member. I was an ordinary member of the group and so my name was put last in the list and it was taken up to the protection officer. One hour later the messenger, stood out of the gate with a paper to announce something to us. He called out Sulaiman Sullay Forna! I asked him again if it was me. He said the protection officer would like to see you urgently. I was shocked, astonished and filled with excitement that after 2 years applying for asylum that very day I was privileged to walk up those stairs to face the almighty protection officer. It was the beginning of my long journey to down under. Only one more person survived from the group after me. Praise Jah. As I had told my story to many before every one has a different interpretation of why God decided things that way. But one interpretation always stood out from the many feedbacks I received. God choses people for a good reason. In my case He wanted me to grow up here and gain the energy for more things to come. Thats my story. What is yours?
