It seems GHIOT are enjoying Amarr Quick mail from one of the Quieter GHIOT Members Re: Fleet Fight Friday From: Su YiDur Kasenumi To: The Great Harmon Institute Of Technology [GHIOT], GI Jenny CORPRemove LabelINBOXRemove Label Chaps Well that was just awesome sauce, in a bottle, with a big knob on top and a designer label. I refer of course to fleet fight Friday, last night, when we had 4 big fleet fights in 2 hours. I’m calling it from 19:32 when my Ruppie died, caught on the first Ihub, to 21:40 when Jenny and Shadow lost their drakes because we abandoned them to their desperate dances of death (sorry ‘bout that!). 51 kills and 24 losses, by my quick and dirty count. ….. (read it again, I said COUNT you evil minded @$%&ers !!) That’s 2 of theirs to 1 of ours. Nice going boys, and what a great way to kick off our Amarr adventure! So many good stories, not sure which was best. Was it the Talwar gang that just kept on coming back for more hurt? (We got 17 of them). Was it our hero tackle frig boys who burned for the Tallys and certain death? I had a tear in my eye as I watched, but my hand was caressing the 1600mm thickness of my rolled tungsten (lol) for reassurance. Or was it TK’s Warp of the Week, when about 30 of us escaped a hot drop from some of the biggest, nastiest, pirates I’ve ever seen. They had ships I’ve never heard of, the names unpronounceable and evil looking with big pointy things sticking out all over them. Well we escaped with about a second to spare. Who was it that said “ I don’t care if we have the most talented Generals. Just make sure they are lucky!”? Was it even the whispered promise of bringing in the Carrier? 3 times ffs, with cynos seconds away, when we get dropped and have to burn off. Really enjoyed Mike-90 playing TK’s alter ego …”go on, do it, you know you want to…”.lmao But no, the best for me was when we got the call to link kills in militia. Kill:,Kill:,Kill:,……… the list just kept on going! We got a good response from the Amar chaps, with comments along the lines of “good job, welcome, and glad you are here”. Finally, what’s different about being here, and our old home? I think I’ve nailed it… Caldari space is miserable, dark, cold and grey, and that makes every one a bit of a grumpy old git. Down here it feels like we are on our summer holiday, it’s bright and sunny, like we are at the beach. So jump in, ……. the warfare’s lovely!! Thanks to the FCs. Nice one. Su
