It seems achche din is round the corner for bank employees.Our beloved PM has also praised bankers for their hard work ,committment , dedication and support to his dream project PMJDY. One section of unions are open for extension of central pay commission in banking sector. It is also revealed by them that even finance minister is also in favour of inclusion of bankers in central pay commission then what the hell other unions are doing. Old union members are still fighting for pension over monthly salary and they had lost opportunity hike of 40% subject to unions consent for merger of banks given by government in last BPS. Logically and practically pay commission and implementation of other working conditions of central government employees in banking sector is remedy in fact panacea for bankers.From the last few decades banking sector is working like extended arms of central government and getting their unremunerative socialist work done though bank hence their salary can not be linked to profitability of banks. Now when it seems everyone including government bankers and some section of unions are in favour of pay commission we should raise our voice loudly so that other unions who arent in favour of inclusion of bankers in central pay commission understand the ground reality and importance of pay commission and ultimately they should also come together along with all other unions particularly AIBEA for legitimate aspirations of bankers like salary working hours and other perk and incentives at par with central govt employees even if government gives it at the cost of merger nor some other insignificant sacrifice.
