It seems an appropriate time to say to everyone thinking of booking a wedding in Bali or already booked with us that we are a legitimate, registered business. We are in our 23rd year of operation. Our foreign consultants have work permits, we pay our taxes, we pay our staff and we run a cash business ie: we pay our vendors and venues upon invoice and on or before the due date every time............hundreds of vendors and venues will vouch for this fact. If you know anyone planning to marry in Bali, please let them know that there are legitimate & professional companies here but they should do their due diligence and ensure they are dealing with one of those and not just a individual or unlicensed operation. Hint if you are asked to pay money to an Indonesian bank account which is not in the name of the business its is highly likely they are operating below the radar (therefore there will be no recourse in the event they take your money and dont deliver). It is not possible to open a bank account in a business name here without showing your full and complete business documentation so its a good check-point. I am so sympathetic for the couples and also to the many vendors (florists, photographers, hair & makeup artists, caterers) who have lost money as a result of booking with or providing services for DLuxe Weddings. I hope that eventually they will all get their money back. So unfair and completely heartless to ruin a day that should be so absolutely wonderful in every way.
