It seems as if one thing leads to another, but thats a different story. So I had to upgrade all my wheel studs to 9/16 to fit my wheels. So we said while we have it apart we can go through the drums and put new bearings in the hubs. (92 dana 60) from what I have heard these are a oil bathing rear which means you dont pack the bearings. We put the new bearings in dry and filled the dif full of oil. Drove it half a mile and one of the bearings exploded causing the wheel to lock up. Got it back to the shop and tore it back apart and when the wheel locked up it snapped a tooth off the pinion. So now replacing the ring and pinion! Does anyone have any reasoning as to what caused this to happen?
