It seems as if the entire world is fixated at some adolescent-level of mental development where all things are bifurcated into black or white. This IS the thinking-style of our primitive ancestral mind. It comes from the Limbic system. The limbic system cannot evaluate, does not have foresight. Cannot plan for future courses of action. The limbic system can only assign an emotion-tag of agreeable or disagreeable. This is the root source of all black-n-white thinking. People who engage in this level of thinking--and this includes most people and virtually all of our media, and certainly includes facebook--demonstrate a lack of neocortical development. They do not exhibit the cool, nuanced, reasoning ability of our greatest evolutionary gift: the neocortex. For them, its all-emotion, all the time. And they will SWEAR by their RIGHT to be emotional!!!!!
