It seems fitting to be hunkering down for the winter to record our album. We hope to emerge again in the springtime with new tunes, freshly groomed and ready to resume our ... whatever it is we do. We’ll be just like butterflies freed from their cocoons; perhaps we’ll even get a butterfly tattoo to commemorate our rebirth. During our hibernation we’ll be counteracting all the conventional rules for making hit music and instead be writing music that we come up with when we we’re extremely high* and think it sounds good. Further going against good reasoning we’ll be recording the album ourselves at our DIY, home-away-from-home studio in Pretoria Arcangelmusic. Lucky for us it happens to be located in one of the few areas in Pretoria where tolerance, cultural awareness and intellectually-stimulating conversation are strongly encouraged. Phew We built the studio with love and a purpose and believe that whatever we record there will sound sweet because it’ll come from us with love. Even though the snare happens to be a little too top heavy (hehehe) or reverby blah blah, we’re not making a coldplay album here people. Relax. Speak soon. *that is, high on life.
