It seems ironic that a guy who argues from a "pyramid of ability" is paid to write so incompetently. Seriously, this piece is just a string of platitudes and condescension. Does he really think that his readers are so ignorant that they do not know what "profit" means? Generally, it reminds me of what one would expect from a columnist for the Daily Wildcat, but this guy writes for Forbes, which is supposed to be a respectable publication. His biggest offense: Saying that millionaires should receive the Medal of Honor just for being rich. Either he is sincere in this, and is thus clueless in his lack of perspective, or he is just being a silly academic who says outrageous things to be provocative. Either way, the proposal is insulting.
