It seems kind of odd to be posting this status on a day when I have received more cake enquiries in a single day than in the last month! Those turtles have a lot to answer for! :-) I am not accepting any new customers / orders from now until the end of 2014. After that time, I will reassess and see how things are. Existing orders are fine and I have messaged or emailed those people with quotes or cakes in the pipeline. Ill be caking for family and friends, and my regular customers are welcome to contact me for availability, as I will fit them in when I can. They are part of the reason my cake journey has been such a great experience and to be honest, Id miss them if I never heard from them again! Time is the killer for me. I have a full time job, a family, the usual other commitments, oh and a crazy dog that needs more walking! I also have some other interests I want to pursue (its been suggested overdue housework might count as an interest, but Im not that silly..) and at the moment, I just cant find the time to do justice to anything else. I dont want caking to become a chore. And so.... I will still be caking when I have time, as my hobby, to develop new skills and try new ideas. Ill still share tips and new things in cake world. I will probably still continue doing demonstrations every few months. Sorry if I have rambled on - I could have kept it as a one liner, but clearly I am not a one-liner kind of person. Thanks for listening. And tune in next Saturday because I will have a black and red two tier 50th cake to share, and I think it will be a good un! ;-)
