It seems that Russell Brand has received a fair amount of public abuse regarding the election turnout, or lack of, due to his stance on voting. UKips success has made people angry, and all those people have done is look for someone to blame...takes the guilt away from our countrys apathy towards politics doesnt it really? Statistically, the percentage of voters has only fluctuated by less then 1% since 2009. Politics hasnt inspired younger generations for many years, thats why they dont vote, not because of one mans ideology. Theres been no brain washing, the current political system simply doesnt work and as the only man to say so publicly, the finger of blame is pointed in his direction rather than at the politicians who give us nothing of substance to vote for. Like most people I regard politicians as frauds and liars and the current political system as nothing more than a bureaucratic means for furthering the augmentation and advantages of economic elites. - Russell Brand.
