It seems that ever since I started appearing as Pedro the Clown, 25 years ago this summer, I have been doing my best to reassure the young (and the not-so-young) alike, that clowns are not scary creatures! Though I sometimes get the feeling that its almost a losing battle, I always try to come over as a happy, friendly sort of person who wouldnt dream of scaring anybody. Well, all thats about to change! On Saturday October 25, I am taking part in the annual Branston Ghost Walks, not far from Lincoln, appearing as Pedro the Clown as he has never been seen before. I am a horrible, murderous creature. Evidence shows, that I have already killed one rival in the past, and I may not be above doing it again. This will be the third time I have done a Branston Ghost Walk, and this year its a non-speaking role as I have to combine mime with circus skills. There are walks at 6.00, 7.00 and 8.15, and thanks to a brilliant script by Graham King and some terrific effects and acting by the rest of the cast, it is always a sell-out. Really looking forward to getting my teeth into a new role!
