It seems that there are times that you are walking alone in the battles of life. I know that I am not the only one that feels this way at certain times! It really cant be helped, its just the way that life is! But if we open our eyes and ears to what is really going on around us, there are those who are standing with you! It reminds me of the story of ole Elijah fleeing from Jezebel. He was feeling sorry for himself and God had to make him aware of this one fact....You are not alone, I have 7,000 that have never bowed their knee to Baal! What a great story! Then I think of Samuel Adams, the Father of the Revolution, it was his desire to awaken the people concerning their rights and political convictions. That their unity, rights & political convictions must be based upon Biblical principles and not external bonds. This is the reason he established the Committees of Correspondence in 1772. They desired to establish pockets of committees throughout the Colonial states. One day he received a letter from a brother patriot expressing fear that not many were interested concerning such matters. For the dear patriot said, they are all dead, and the dead cant be raised without a miracle! Samuel Adams simply replied back to him and said, there is no place for despair and that all were not dead; and where there is a spark of patriotic fire, we will rekindle it! So, when you feel all alone, when you feel that no one else is engaging in the fight.....look around you! You have brothers & sisters of the same mindset that are not only standing by you, but they are also carrying the torch of liberty with you! So I say, If there is but a spark of patriotic fire....we can & will rekindle it to a flame of freedom! Have a great day!
