It seems that time is racing me, I struggle to comprehend that we have been on the road for 2 1/2 months now and that we have covered 4800 kms already! Our time in Namibia is coming to an end and with 5 more days left of travelling through this breathtakingly beautiful country we will soon be saying: "Welcome to Botswana"! Of course we are extremely excited about that and are looking forward to discover what the next jewel of Southern Africa has to offer. We had to drive from Namibia to Victoria Falls to be able to make the marathon and today we will make our way back into Namibia to carry on where I stopped on Friday. The marathon has been incredible for Rhino Knights as there was great exposure for the cause to be gained and support received from everyone. The organizers kindly sponsored me to participate in the marathon and through this the Rhino Knights campaign and cause is getting some TV media coverage! (Awesome stuff actually!!!) The Victoria Falls marathon is my first full marathon and I have to be honest it felt incredible to achieve this, all for our heartfelt cause - Rhino! I even managed to come in as 10th woman ... :D We are heading into the unknown again and I am not sure what the communication and reception is going to be like. Our route is taking us to Rundu, into the Caprivi and then South to enter Botswana at Shakawe. With the Okavango Delta East of us we will be making our way to Maun, where I am sure we will definitely have reception again! To everyone, please stay in touch! Keep watching our Youtube videos and Facebook page. On tough days kind words of encouragement and support keep us going and often sparks and smile between us!
