It seems to me that Bob Kraft is being far too hard on himself. He is not at all responsible for the grave sins of Aaron Hernandez. Blaming himself for allowing the team to draft Aaron Hernandez in the first place makes no logical sense at all. After all, New England did not select him until the fourth round. Of course, this is the same franchise which has for over a decade accepted accepted the plaudits and the praise for their supposed prescience in drafting Tom Brady, who was also a later-round selection back in 2000. The truth of the matter is that New England has never deserved any credit for the dumb luck that led to their fortuitous selection of Brady in for in the sixth round 13 years ago. But by that same logic, they do not deserve the blame for Aaron Hernandez. Bob Kraft is a good man and a great owner of what he has transfomed into a model franchise. He should not be publicly flogging himself. He has done absolutely nothing wrong.
