It seems to me that every free social networking site, be it personal or professional (Facebook, LinkedIn etc.) is struggling to generate revenue from members who came on board free of cost. Once you offer goodies for free, you set a precedence and then it is often harder to charge for services. The social networking mantra seems to be: "Free is good. Less than free is even better!" Go figure! I am waiting to see an innovative social networking model emerge that has the courage to defy the odds...
