It sickens me to hear this report cause of a death to be Inconclusive after a post mortem... especially from a young healthy person. Whats even more sickening is to hear todays report that doctors working in or with the emergency room team are all challenged to perform a Tracheostomy procedure. With this reality we may continue to loose our love ones if unfortunately they fall in this emergency state. This is where a breathing tube is to be inserted through the patient’s mouth or throat and into the trachea (the large airway from the mouth to the lungs). The purpose of the tube is to permit air to pass freely to and from the lungs from a mechanical ventilator (breathing machine). I strongly believe that if at least 1 of the 5 doctors who saw my son in the emergency room, if 1 of them could have done that procedure successfully, our son would have been alive. And to hear its still happening today, words cannot explain. Our HEALTH CARE SYSTEM, needs to put competent people in place who sincerely care about our children and our population that way for sure a doctor will be nearby to perform a Tracheostomy when needed. Jaydan would have turn 7 yrs on on Sunday. Our family still love and miss him. He choked and died with superficial stiches at his throat, after an incomplete procedure was attempted by doctors in the emergency room. During the time loss trying to figure what size tube to use and how to do the job, our son perished. Thats my reality.
