It started out as one of those days. Remember the Alexander and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day? As always, I am determined to make it good. But I had to call in some back-up today. I woke up telling myself some stories about things that had happened. You know the stories. I cant believe she said that kind of stuff. Which is really my feelings are hurt kind of stuff. Which is really exacerbated by my story that I decided to continue telling myself about it. So my big guns. 1) Meditation. Honor them. Honor me. Ask for divine intervention (if youre into that). Move on (still struggling) 2) Call a friend. Vent. Let her tell me about myself in the situation. Let her take a part the story. (starting to calm down) 3) Literally say aloud STOP whenever I start the story up in my head again. (its working) 4) Workout. Which I wanted to be #1 but if Im not in my body bc Im in a story, I will hurt myself. And its a lifting day. So I had to 1-3 first. Still working through this one. But I like to share from the grit as well as from the joy. Hope my process might help you. Its always something within us that can change. No one else has to. xo
