It sucks…..just plain sucks……however, I know it could be worse…..I’m not sure what to say…what to do….or how to react? Should I be happy that the mass is shrinking? Well, shit fire.. hell YES I should be…..or - Should I be sad that we don’t know if it’s active? Well, shit fire.. hell YES I should be…. Or -Should I be angry cause I was a chosen one? Well, shit fire..hell YES I should be…..Emotions are part of the journey, the battle, and the challenge. What helps us with the negative emotions is our Faith and Belief that HE will never let us walk this alone. It’s the small things that HE does…who HE places in our paths to walk with us, to pray with us, to support us, to love on us, and to help us BELIEVE that all will be okay. Today was my results day. Today was the day I was to hear that I was Cancer Free. That was not in HIS plan. I started 12 weeks ago with a mass in my lymph nodes that was 6.3x5.9 cm in size. After the 9 weeks of chemo it had shrunk down to 2.2x1.6cm. We are blessed that it had shrunk about 70% in size. However, we are sad that it is not all gone. What will happen now you ask? Next week on Tuesday, I will be doing a PET Scan to see if the mass is active. If the mass is active, we see the oncologist and the urologist to discuss the options of radiation or surgery. If the mass is not active (dead, just scared tissue) we are completed with treatments and will be on a monitoring bases. Are we worried…Yep…..will we let this defeat us….Nope…..will we continue on as normal….Yep…..will we let it ruin our lives…..Nope……will we as a family get stronger…YEP…..It’s not our choice of what happens to us….it’s HIS…HE knows what we can handle…..it’s our choice how we choose to live what HE challenges us with….It’s our choice how we handle the good, the bad, and the ugly of what HE gives us….It’s our choice how we show HIM and others that our Belief is strong, how our Faith will carry us, how the Love he provides will carry us, and how we know A Change Is Coming…….
