It takes courage and determination to change and stop beleiving - TopicsExpress

It takes courage and determination to change and stop beleiving what you have been told again and again about yourself. One aunt of mine used to make fin of me un front of other kids in her house, she use to say Im absent minded. My father use to swear at be and say Usho ngamehlo amdaka meaning I dirty eyes, referring to my beautiful brown eyes. My paternal granny constantly told me I will never get anywherein life. To a point that U passed Std 7 and gad a gap year because she and my father had no monye (R280 a year) to take me to high school. But now I know my aunt referred to my non passive way of thinking and engaging. I think carefully and never offer quick answeres as one would expect. My father failed to see my beautiful brown eyes that complete and compliment my chocolate skin tone. Granny didnt know that I would be her first male grand child to be a graduate and live in liberty if tradition ways of doing things, rather seek my own path in this life. I havent forgotten all that, but I have never believed ut either. Never allow people to tell you who you are or you are not. Never let people talk you into their own level of failure and inferiority. Your dreams may take forever to become, but with focus, determination and some flexibility, you surely shall see the sunshine. On my way there too. Winning or losing that aint the matter, I keep trying and I wont give up!
