It took 2 days but it finally hit me: WE HAVE BEEN GRANTED THE OPPORTUNITY TO REPRESENT STUDENTS IN LYNWOOD!!! As your newly elected Lynwood Board member, I cannot express my immense gratitude and appreciation in words so I will do my best to do so through actions. We went from being virtually unknown to dozens of supporters during the last 3 months. During our journey, we maintained the belief that through unity, we could make a difference. We noticed that the simple act of speaking to voters had an enormous impact on fighting misinformation and spreading information on real solutions to improve our shared cause. Together, we made sure to put STUDENTS FIRST and that act in itself, made all the difference. Thank you so much for your overwhelming support of my candidacy and our shared cause. I know there are many worthy causes that competed for your time, but I am humbled by all the support and conviction I witnessed throughout the campaign. We must continue fighting for our children’s future. As I said when I first announced my candidacy , It takes a village to raise a child, and I am now asking for that same village that helped get me elected to join in me raising the next generation of Lynwood leaders. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Respectfully, Alma-Delia Renteria
