It took a decade long debates and political maneuvering for 13th - TopicsExpress

It took a decade long debates and political maneuvering for 13th amendment to become the part of United States constitution which eventually abolished all kinds of slavery. There are countless examples where politicians in their democratic and principled struggle spent life times to pass a certain legislation using only constitutional means. But sadly in our country short cuts are on the go, it is to announce with my deepest regret in the past one and a half year not a single legislation/bill or even a legal advice was put forward in the parliament by any political party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in particular regarding electoral reforms. I expected more intellectual work from my party, I expected constitutional amendments, I expected legislation, bills and resolutions but all the hassle was made in front of media. I guess in the end we all are just TALK and no substance.
