It took awhile for me to come up with a race number. Needed something that truly meant suffering to me. This was my number from the Uwharrie Mountain Run (uwharriemountainrun), a 20mi trail race I ran last year in the North Carolina mountains. This was by far the most difficult and painful race Ive ever done...pure suffering over impossible terrain and ridiculous elevation changes for nearly 5 hours (my marathon PR is 3:49). I trained for months for this race, and the mountain chewed me up and spit me out as if I had just got off the bus from Couchlandria. I imagine the ToS may be similar... Rule #10 seemed a good mantra for the week...
