It took me a few days to actually get through the entire video. I am so grateful for the publicity ALS has recently achieved through the challenge. As some of you know, this disease runs rampant in my gene pool. My maternal grandfather, my maternal aunt, and my own mother have all lost their battles to ALS. I have had a very hard time seeing all the negative comments from people regarding the challenge and how its a waste of water etc... I just have to remember its NOT something you will understand until you know someone personally go through it, because its been so hidden away. This video portrays everything I want to say. I honestly fear this disease with every tongue twist, or hard time swallowing. Please. Dont just pass it by because it doesnt affect you. Please donate. Please spread the awareness of ALS.
