It took me a while to come to grips with how Fridays neuro appointment went. I failed the short term memory section of the exam as I could not remember 2 out of 3 words after 5 minutes. Then I failed the balance portion as my balance is still off and I fell over into the wall when my eyes were closed. Obviously I was and am very upset over this because while Megan and Dave had told me I was forgetful and repetitive to draw a blank when I shouldve been able to recite the words was scary to say the very least. The headache continues and blurry vision some times its not as bad but the past two days have been very bad. I will begin speech therapy for cognitive and memory exercises and physical therapy for balance and coordination. She reassured me given my past concussions and presentation now that it is very normal to experience these issues and that it will be a very slow healing progression. Im just focusing on healing.
