It very sad that majority of Nigerians are blindfolded religious fanatics. These set of Nigerians have been blindfolded to the extent that they believe that certain persons they regard as Men of God cant be questioned or reported even if they commit the highest level of atrocities. The kind of verbal attacks and harassments received by PREMIUM TIMES investigative reporter Nicholas Ibekwe after he revealed that he turned down Mr. TB Joshuas N50,000 bribe were overwhelming in spite of the fact that he released an audio evidence to back up his stand. Instead of calling on anti corruption agencies to quickly investigate the revelation, some Nigerians engaged themselves in attacking the brave reporter. The truth is that if the person involved in the bribery was a politician, those attacking Nicholas will become automatic activists calling for such politicians arrest and prosecution but as long as it involves who they call man of God, it should remain unquestionable. What a shame. What these blindfolded Nigerians should know is that PREMIUM TIMES reporters can never be scared by such attacks as it strengthens their high level ethic standard and courage to investigate more.
