It was 1st period when one of our L.D. teachers burst into my classroom, screaming we were under attack. She was hysterical and my class and I were baffled. I asked her to calm down and explain. She repeatedly stated America was being attack. Instantly, I thought of Ft. Knox....just miles from us. When I asked where was the attack, she screamed for me to turn on my TV. In silence, my entire class watched in horror as one of the Towers in NY had already been destroyed.....and finally, an explosion after a plane hit the other. For the rest of the period, we watched....most of us crying....all of us not understanding why. And then the 2nd tower fell. Now all of us cried realizing we were watching thousands had been killed in this attack.....and we didnt know why. Where were you?
