It was Leopold II, the Belgian king who owned the land we now call - TopicsExpress

It was Leopold II, the Belgian king who owned the land we now call Congo today, who instructed missionaries to keep native Africans away from education and only feed them religion. The policy largely succeeded with Congo DR only having about 30 graduates at independence. More than half of this 30 or so were killed by the French and Americans just days after the said countrys independence. Today nothing much has changed. Only difference being that the ones who try to stop the African from having or seeking knowledge wear the same skin pigmentation; they are our very own brothers. They will only want you to learn religion. Matters are made worse by the fact that the ones who feed us religion, and who dont want us to think, are the ones building the biggest schools in the continent presently. One begins to wonder what kind of education happens in these schools, even with the incredible school fees. Everyday I see posts by supposed graduates and under graduates, the situation gets scarier. That you punctuate every of your post with in Jesus name or the new fad IJN or insha Allah does not make you less ignorant or illiterate. This is the plain truth.
