It was a banner day for Augie and Spuds! Just after their fourth birthdays, they were finally driven in the open driving arena for the very first time after being hitched to the cart inside the Tack Barn only once the week before. We used side walkers with leads attached to them on both sides for safety, but never had a problem! They were balanced, responsive to the drive lines, pulling correctly, rhythmic and in sync with each other all the way. It really paid to take the time over the past four years to go through all the smaller steps leading up to this very important day! There are many days of fun and games to look forward to ahead!
