It was a big weekend of motorsport in Queensland just gone and another one ahead of us. At IRoQ congrats to the winner Czech driver in his Indian based Skoda Fabia. Scott Pedder was second in his Renault Clio and Brendan Reeves in his Mazda 2. Fifth outright was Peter Roberts in his Mitsubishi Evo 6. Neal Bates was ninth in his early 80s Toyota Celica. Jay Davidson was the best Queensland Rally Championship in his Subaru Impreza WRX who finished sixth - top effort. Ian Menzies was second QRC in his Evo 6 and Justin Northage third in his Mitsubishi Mirage. Over at the Two Days of Thunder, Craig Harris cleaned up in his Ford Musatng in the Trans-Ams. Sean English had a dreadful weekend and Harris now leads by over 100 points. Ian Woodward (Pontiac Firebird) was second and Ian Palmer third in his Plymouth Barracuda. The Classic Sports Sedan Series had their second round - Class A was won by Mark Bowen in his VK Commodore-Chev sports sedan ahead of Bob McLoughlin (VS Commodore-Chev) while the star of the meeting was Phillip Crompton in his Ford Mustang who overcome early issue to win two races. Tim Tritton won class B in his Porsche 993 just defeating Dwyan Taylors Torana. Cheryl N Garry Ford were third in his V8 powered Mark I Ford Escort. Karl Begg (BMW E30 325i) won the Touring Cars, just, ahead of Anthony Gilbertson (BMW E36 M3-R). Murray Kent was third in his LH Torana. Bruce Dummett and Kevin Heffernan had a terrific duel in Group N. Two wins each, two seconds each, two fastest laps each, the two could only be seperated on qualifying times and Bruce Dummett got the trophy. Harvey Black was third is the ever giant-killing Mk.I Ford Escort.
