It was a busy week. Last Friday Janies Subaru began making expensive noises so she took it to our guy, Kevs Car Care on Johnson Hollow Rd. He called me Tuesday with the news that #4 cyl had no compression. The car was in not bad shape 2005 Impreza Sport with 132K on it. Janie is retiring this June. So I told him to find an engine for it. Not as cheap as we figured. We decided to cut our losses and sell it as is. I put an ad on Craigslist yesterday and had cash in hand by 7pm. A fella from Ithaca bought it and he has a guy that will swap out the engine then they will resell it. I probably had six people that said if the deal fell thru they would buy it full price. Maybe I left money on the table, but its gone now. No rehashing it now. Im just glad we had another car Jane can drive.
