It was a family affair last night when I went to shave my head, Eric and Sam joined me. We went to my moms hair stylist who Ive known since I was a kid and she knew my mom through both of her bouts of breast cancer. Eric shaved his head with me. Sam didnt want to shave his all the way and I would never want him to, he has beautiful hair. He wanted to do something, though, so he shaved the sides down. I let them go first. It was a trip to watch all of mine go away, but its a relief. Now I dont have to watch it fall out. It was on my terms. I look a little like Sinead OConner right now, for those who remember her. Anxious to see what my cue ball head looks like when the remaining stubble falls out. I was just glad that it wasnt too misshapen. I do have a dent on the top of my head near the back and a scar from a junior high mishap with a metal slide. Cracked it wide open! Anyway, its not too bad. I will embrace it for the next several months. Accessories will become my friend for sure! Many people told me at work today that I can pull it off and should just rock my bald head. I may sometimes, well see.
