It was a great honor to participate in the welcome rally for the young Indian runners who ran in the relay across Nebraska against KXL and to protect Mother Earth. Thanks to Myron Longsoldier, Rob AmericanHorse, Krystle Craig, Tom Genung and everyone else who helped make this happen. Unfortunately most of the media stayed away, preferring to perpetuate negative stereotypes about Native Americans rather than report on the terrific human interest story exhibited here; a group of people who were willing to put their own energy and sweat into a cause they believe in, as well as connecting their spiritual beliefs with their actions.
