It was a joy to meet and host Professor and Poet Wu Fu-Sheng at the Birthplace today. He is undertaking the exciting project of translating Dylan Thomas poems into Mandarin. At the moment he has completed 25 translations. To hear Do Not Go Gentle spoken in Mandarin in Dylans front parlour was an incredible thing. We are sure that Dylan would have been bowled over to think that his works are now becoming accessible to a new audience of over one billion people, who will be able to recite them in their native tongue. Professor Wu is also the latest person to be interviewed for our ongoing 100 Voices for 100 Years archive. Professor Wu was also in conversation earlier with Jamie Owen on BBC Radio Wales.
