It was a joy to take a few days of vacation to attend the 100 th Anniversary of the Gates farm by Mayerthorpe , Alberta. The Gates are my wonderful inlaws by marriage. The farm is absolutely beautiful, situated on the rolling hills of Woodland County. The farm has sustained four generations! As well, four generations have all served their communities in numerous ways, serving on the Rural Electrical Association, carved roads out of the wilderness, served on county boards, etc. They also established churches in the area that are thriving today. Most of all, we ended our weekend with a huge 2 hour water fight . Everyone got soaked, from the youngest to the oldest. We laughed till we cried!
